Primary care includes family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology and psychiatry. Eligible applicants to the Ohio Physician Loan Repayment Program (OPLRP) are those primary care physicians
who have a license to practice in
The OPLRP can provide up to $20,000 per year in loan repayment. The initial contract, for those selected to receive loan repayment, is two years. The agreement can be extended for two additional one-year contracts, thus making the total loan repayment up to $80,000.
Contracts are usually awarded in the summer. Applications are due the preceding January 15th.
